They have saved my furniture from my cats' clawing, fur, hairball throwups and incontinence. Superior to high quality ultrasuede, which we cat families rely on, because of better liquid-containment and easier hair removal.
I see these advertised for dog owners, but cats are equally destructive of furniture, so the marketeers ought to pick up on this.
