(More customer reviews)Wool is a wonderful fiber. I decided to try wool because sometimes I would wake up a few times during the night to add or remove blankets. This has solved that problem. I paid the extra money to get the Merino wool, and it is softer than other wool I've felt, but it still isn't the blanket I'd reach for to curl up in, or that your girlfriend will coo over. But thermally, and on top of an Egyptian cotton sheet, it's tops.
