(More customer reviews)I decided to go with a Slanket over a Snuggie because of the Slanket being bigger (both width & length wise) as well as being thicker. Overall I enjoy the blanket (yes I know it is called a slanket - but at the end of the day - it is still a blanket *smile*) but there are some things I wish it had... (sn - I REALLY wish Amazon would let you rate products with 1/2 stars.....)
Comfort - this blanket is definitely comfortable. The material feels good overall (I have better blankets though...) and feel as though it will last for quite some time (I'd had it for over a month now but I know a month is not a year...). It could have been softer (think Target Microplush blankets) but overall not bad. One thing that you will want to do is wash it & dry it (with dryer sheets) as it is very static clingy out of the box.
Usability - there is a reason why you see ALL of the models in pictures demoing the Slanket lying on a couch - it is because this blanket has NO belt or tie whatsoever to truly wrap the blanket around you (I wish it did have some ties/fringes or something because if you get up with the blanket on your back is exposed and the majority of the blanket will hang down at the sides (if you keep your arms up) or just fall down (if you have your arms down). So - this blanket is not to be used beyond a sitting or laying position (which isn't a bad thing if you are stationary when wrapped up in a blanket) The 'sleeves' do work - but there's no way of shortening the length though the use of straps & buttons (there are blanket with sleeves that have this function - check B, B, & B for samples).
Overall it's not a bad product and I'd recommend getting one if you would like an extra blanket around the house (I believe you can never have enough of them...). I know that a blanket with a tie/belt is pushing towards being a robe but there's nothing like being cozy in a blanket & keeping that comfort with you beyond a stationary position. If it had some type of tying ability and a way of buttoning up the sleeves - this blanket would be awesome!
Maybe the company should come out with a deluxe version that is softer (but not thinner), a way to 'customize' the length of the sleeves, & a way to tie the blanket around you. That would make this a 5 star worthy product! As of now - it's like a 3 1/2 star (I know I gave it 4 - but there's no way of giving 1/2 star ratings...) product..
