Even in the hospital, while recovering from a c-section, he was un-swaddling himself in the regular receiving blankets. At first we just figured that it wasn't a big deal; until he would wake himself up constantly doing the "startle reflex" or wiggling. So... at 3 days old we used the one I received as a gift at my shower. This blanket helped him to stay cozy and swaddled tightly during naps and night time sleep. As soon as we were discharged we went and purchased 3 more. We are still using them today, at 4 months, and couldn't be happier. We have the cotton ones, they are light weight and very durable. They have held up very well through many washings. I would recommend these to everyone, including my own friends and family.
