An easy-grip hand-held control allows for simple operation of the blanket. The control's LED display makes it easy to see and operate in the dark. Twin, Full, and Throw size blankets come with a single control, but Queen and King sizes come with dual controls to personalize comfort on each side of the bed. There are 10 temperature settings available for the selection of personal comfort, and a pre-heat feature reduces wait time to achieve the desired comfort level. The blanket's patented Safety Watch Controller insures the product performs as it was designed to, and an automatic shut-off feature is included to turn off the blanket after 10 hours of continuous use. Caring for and cleaning the machine-washable blanket is easy. Carefully follow all washing instructions to prevent shrinkage and damage. The blanket can also be hand washed, but it should never be dry cleaned. To clean the blanket in the home machine, wash it separately using slow agitation and normal spin speed. Fill the washer with cold or lukewarm water and add a minimum amount of all-purpose detergent. Agitate to dissolve the detergent before adding the blanket. Soak the blanket for 5 minutes, agitate it for 2 minutes, and spin. Refill the machine with cool water for a rinse, agitate for 1 minute, and spin. To machine dry, preheat the dryer on low for 2 minutes. Tumble dry on medium to low temperature for 5 minutes only, then drape and air dry for the remainder. The blanket comes with a clear instruction manual and is covered by a 5-year warranty.
