The background is a deep, rich burgundy which complements the Southwestern pattern on the surface. Next, I was pleased to discover that the blanket utilizes fleece on both sides, making it really warm and cozy! I am so glad that I found this item, which I found to be superior to any similarly priced items at local retailers.
